Tick info

One can come across ticks being outdoors during excursions in wooded, shrubby and grassy areas from spring to autumn. They live on the back side of leaves and in tall grass. Human infection can follow the bite from an infected tick and can cause a serious disease (commonly known as Lyme disease) and other health problems (including fever, headache and possible meningitis).

In Europe and in the USA, infections are common mainly during the summer when we are spending more time outdoors.

Here in the hills of Buda tick bites are very frequent, and since it is very difficult to tell whether they may cause infection or not, please talk to your family doctor about a possible vaccination. If you find thick remove it immediately or seek professional help.
